BAY AREA PREMIER MOVING AND STORAGE COMPANY

PHone: 844.GETMYMOVE   email: INFO@BOOKMYMOVE.ORG

These days, everybody is busy and has a schedule to keep up with.  Regardless of the situation, hiring a moving company takes less time than it would to move your belongings yourself, and more importantly, alleviates the stress of moving.  Rather than having to ask your friends and family to spend their precious spare time helping you move, you can throw a housewarming party to welcome everyone to your new home instead!  More importantly, we are trained in moving high-end, precious belongings, art pieces, and any other unique possessions, so you don’t have to worry.

Q: Is your moving company licensed and insured?

A: Yes – we are fully licensed (CAL-T 0191180), and insured.

Q: Will my belongings be insured during the move?

A: We provide standard insurance required by our insurance company for all items, which is included in the cost of your move.  Movers are obligated to include basic liability coverage for any items that are being moved, which is equivalent to $0.60 per lbs, per item. Most of our customers find standard insurance sufficient on local moves. Additional insurance is available and preferred by owners of high-end items, moves out of state and international moves – please call our office for details at 1-844-GET-MY-MOVE (438-69-6683).

Q: How do you price your jobs. What do you charge addititionaly for? What are the potential extra charges?

A: The answer to this question depends on the the type of the move (local, long distance, indernational) and clients preference. On local and commercial moves we have an option of charging by the hour (with the 4 hour min) or giving a binding set price. We can also give an hourly, not to exceed rate. The average crew consists of 3 crew members, but often enough it would be larger based on the size of a move and clients preferences again. With hourly moves we offer an option where we would provide you an hourly rate for a full packing option too, which would include all of the materials being used. Packing estimate can be capped and binding as well.

If we are talking about long or mid-distance moves, our charges are based on the volume, distance, special handling for sensitive items, amount of packing that needs to be done and access (stairs, long carry, shuttle) on all of the locations included in the proces.

International moves are similar. There are options for shared container load, full 20 or 40 foot containers. We usually offer “door to door” service, but we can also set up a “door to port” or “port to door” service.

Our services are superior, our reputation is stellar, and we work for you. Our reputation is built on your satisfaction.

Q: How do you estimate the cost of the move?

A: For smaller moves, everything is being done over the phone or via email. We have many years of experience in the business so we know which questions to ask in order to provide you with an accurate estimate, assuming that the information provided by the client is fairly accurate.  For anything from a large 1 bedroom and up, we would offer a free in-home survey in order to come up with the most accurate estimate for your move.

Q: Will movers arrive on time?

A: We understand you may have to take time off work to move so we try hard to accommodate your schedule. We allow for an arrival time (an hour for early morning moves, and 2-3 hours for mid-afternoon) and communicate with you during the entire process – as soon as we know exactly what is the ETA, the formen or dispatch will give you a call.  Once you have booked with us we will not let you down.  Our window allows for traffic and other unforeseen issues.

Q: Are all the crew members your employees or do you hire temporary or day labors?

A: All of our movers are our employees. Most of them have been with us for a while. We screen and train our employees very carefully as they are the backbone of this business. We take pride in running the tightest, best crew possible.

Q: How fast are your movers? Will they take their time and run the clock?

A: Absolutely yes!  We do the quickest job possible, while taking enough precaution and care while handling your precious posesions. Most clients are surprised at the rate the employees work – running up and down stairs, packing your belongings and loading trucks is what they do every day.  And we make sure they are the best at it!

Q: What types of payments do you accept? Do you require a deposit to reserve a moving date?

A: We accept cash, certified checks, money ordrder or credit cards. If there is enough of time, direct billing can also be set up. No, we do not require a deposit.

Q: How do I book My Move?

A: You can request a free quote by visiting our Free Estimate page and submit the information we’ve requested (for maximum efficiency and most accurate, please be prepared to provide us with as much detailed information as possible).  We always try our best to accommodate all requests – please be advised that we tend to be busiest at the end of the month and on weekends, so advance bookings are preferred.  If we can’t meet your needs, we will refer you to alternate, reputable moving companies.

Q: What should I do if I need to add/remove any items from the inventory list?

A: Contact your move sales representative if you need to add or subtract any items from the inventory. We’ll assisty you with any changes or updates. Keep in mind your cost estimate may change based on the adjustments and the tipe of the agreement.

Q: I need to change my moving date, what should I do?

A: Contact your sales representative as soon as you can if your move dates have changed. We will process any changes and offer the best possible options, based on our current schedule. Keep in mind that your estimate may change depending on the dates you selected.

Q: If I decide to do the packing on my own can you give me some advice on how to pack?

A: You can certainly pack yourself. Visit our packing tips page for advice on how to pack different household items.

Q: I need to change my address officially, how do I do that?

A: The post office is a good place to start. An online Change of Address form is available on the United States Postal Service website. It’s also important to change your address with your banks, credit card companies, insurance providers and magazine subscriptions. Check out our complete checklist for more reminders.

Q: What am I not allowed to bring with me?

A: Some items can’t come with you on your move, such as fireworks, flammables, cleaning fluids, matches, etc. Read our complete non-allowables list for more information and consult earth911.com for recycling locations in your area.
